I've seen a lot of complaints, but tbf, they were online.

for TDK, it's one of the more universally loved superhero movies, from my experience.

unpopular opinion - I prefer The Batman.

The movie is great. Oddly enough, the biggest complaint is that whoever played Bruce Wayne looks absolutely nothing like Bruce Wayne.

I didn't mind the sadboi, recluse take on the character, tbh.

I actually walked out of the theater saying it was by far the best movie I've ever seen. And I mean, it's definitely really good, but later I recognized that I was largely riding the high from how perfect the ending was.

There are definitely better movies and all, but I kinda hate this Internet thing where the movie can't be a great movie just because it isn't boring as fuck.

What a weird, and ridiculously untrue, statement. People don't claim movies are great when they are boring. Maybe YOU find them boring but that's your problem.

The Dark Knight isn't even close to being the best Batman movie.

I'm talking about how literally any movie where anything fun happens is just immediately dismissed as "popcorn flick" or etc, when plenty of them are actually really well written and made.

While Im not saying its the best movie of all time or anything like that, Inception is probably my all time personal favorite movie. Saw it as a teenager and its what got me into watching movies in general. The final ending sequence with Hans Zimmers Time playing is probably my favorite movie scene of all time.

I do think its a bit underrated for Nolans filmography, not many people mention it compared to his bigger films.

Glad you liked it. I just didn't like the movie. It felt like it was trying to be more "smart and witty" than it had a right to be. Also didn't keep my interest like a lot of Nolan's other projects.

Point is there is more than one good Nolan movie.

Yeah... It went by fast. Just glued in the whole movie.

TDK is like 25 mins shorter than thebatman and wow thebatman really felt like it fucking dragged in the early parts.

i liked how the batman kept the dark moody atmosphere tho

Go ahead, come up with a movie that isn't boring as hell, Google the title in quotes and "popcorn flick" in quotes. Keep trying until you get no hits. I'm actually really interested to see what you find.

I've never seen anyone call Heat a popcorn flick and it has the shooty bangbang and the car crashings.

Funnily enough, thats pretty much exactly how I feel about Tenet. A complete mess of a movie that just comes off pretentious and absurd with how smart it tries to be. I still found some enjoyment out of rewatching it though, when I stop caring about understanding everything about it.

Inception I didnt feel that though. Its really not that smart honestly, it explains everything just fine and straightforward for the most part if you pay attention, it isnt really anymore complex than Interstellar or Oppenheimer. Better emotional payoff and story arcs in Inception over those movies, imo.
