The usual question is "what the hell is Nexomon?" Well, it seems like a creature-collecting game. It seems to work well on Steam Deck right now, and it's only a buck in the store, so why not try it?

I still need to finish the first one. I kinda burnt myself out not leaving areas until I captured all the Nexomon in each area.

I did the same; I also always go Fire in Pokemon and almost did the same when I played the first Nexomon, but reasoned that I had no reason to do so since this isn't Pokemon, and so I went with the wind dragon. Sadly, it wasn't available in Extinction as a Starter, so I went with the fire wolf.

My cat just learned Icicle, so I'm not sure if its type is wind or ice. Whatever! That's the fun of playing a game for the first time.

I found a medic guy, so I'm going to just grind a bit. The game made me catch some random skunk (normal-type?) 'mon, so I guess I'll use that for a little while. There was also some NPC who wanted to buy a 'mon, so if I can sell the skunk, I'll do that. Actually, I've been wanting to replay GSC and use Miltank, so maybe I'll use a cow 'mon if I can find one.

TIL there's a second Nexomon game, and an upcoming third title.

Nexomon's a really underrated monster taming game. If you've never played Coromon you really have to try it out.

I played Coromon last year. It was fun, but kinda on the short side.

1st nexomon is meh

Nexomon extinction is pretty fun and sometimes the dialogue is funny and unhinged.

I caught a ghost slug and a "mega-rare" barnacle on some island. It really is the Wild West of just catching random things, but they're all different types, so s'all good, I guess. Also saw you can equip cores on your minions to get out-of-battle XP bonuses. Hopefully I find a few more laying around these outlying areas.

I enjoyed my time with Nexomon. It's not quite Pokmon (you'll never have the same attachment to the 'mons), but it's fun and colourful and knows what it is.

The best Pokmon-esque game I've played.

I haven't made up my mind if I liked Coromon more or not. This one has promise, though.

I loved Nexomon Extinction. Pokemon games wish they had a story that good. I also loved that you can find and capture every Nexomon with a single save file. No trading bullshit needed.
