I like it so far. Seems to be pretty well constructed(the box was VERY heavy).

the shelves arent adjustable, but there is a good amount of room for big sets or lots of small ones. Obviously not the most huge ones though.

when I fill this one I might put a 2nd next to it, then get the Titanic set to put on top

the fortress is also only like 1/3 built, so when I finish that it might take up that entire shelf if I keep it spread out instead of all together

the neat thing is a bunch of the recent space sets have these modular parts so you can mix and match. I got that one as well as a few others for my son (but also me to put together lol). Hes not big enough to follow the directions on these things but he had a lot of fun putting together different space ships with these
Oo that sounds really fun. What other modular sets are there?

My kid has been helping with a lot of these sets, with some guidance. Only wanted to put the astronauts together and put stickers on things for this one though :(

We built the LEGO Friends movie night set. Pretty basic, good for young kids.

My favorite part though is the working projector LMAO. It's a light block and it shines through one of two slides (princess holding a book or UFO with a beam of light) that projects the imagine onto a large flat white tile.

Okay I love this feature lol.

I'm definitely interested in this one. I like sets that can pull double use in a more generic lego setting; the Hocus Pocus house could be repurposed as an alchemist's hut, the Jaws boat would fit right in with a city harbor setting, and this would make an excellent haunted ship for a fantasy / medieval setting.

I agree with you! Your own fantasy is the only limit with these kinda sets.

Fun little build. It's got a pretty cool mechanism built into it to make the camera "work". It pushes out one of these lego Polaroids.

I think it looks pretty dope added to my Gremlins shelf in my man cave. Makes me want to pick up an old Walkman cassette player to swap it out with the camera from time to time.

Got the VTOL Heavy Cargo Ship set in today, nice surprise since it said January delivery date when I put the order in. Didn't realize it's a Technic set... I've only built one before, the Mack garbage truck, and I'm realizing... I like the end product but assembly is a pain in the ass.

The instructions are often not entirely clear, with specific pieces requiring specific orientation because if you mess it up then thirty steps later you won't be able to connect another piece. Sometimes you have to push a connection bar in just a little bit and then slide some pieces around and push it through entirely and it isn't always clear when. I sat around on one step for a few minutes trying to figure out where I had to put some black pegs because the step just showed the assembly after like 50 steps and "four black pegs required".

And sometimes the holes just don't line up when connecting pieces. My fingers are legit sore and I punched a little hole out of my finger tip at one step trying to snap two pieces together.

BUT... Two hours of work and three bags in and this is what I have:

what a coincidence, I finally bought the Viking village Ive been eyeing forever today and I was missing a piece too. Luckily not an essential one, just cosmetic.

I only did the first 3 bags so hopefully nothing else is missing

My wife pre-ordered some set in June called Adventure in Transylvania for like $350. I had no idea until it arrived today.

It is now reselling for like $500 to $600. Crazy

That is a set from the 5th series BrickLink Designer Program. BDP sets are produced in limited quantities, so consider yourself lucky.

I got mine along with the popcorn cart a few days ago. Upon retrospect my only nitpick is the lack of a dining hall of some sort (the pipe organ takes up most of the space in its respective room). Otherwise it's sick as fuck. Wish I could've put it together for Halloween, but sadly it's gonna have to stay boxed up for awhile.

I hadn't thought about Bricklink since I made my last order at the beginning of the summer, and I'm kicking myself for missing out on the art factory set. But by golly I will not miss out on the next batch, that Alchemist's Hut will go perfectly next to the Blacksmith Hut (I'll probably end up ordering the sushi shop too).
