Favourite: Brocolli - Really tasty, high in protein, can pretend you're a giant eating little trees.

Least favourite: Cauliflower is disgusting and tasteless, does NOT look like little trees. This is tied for least favourite with rocket for being a disgusting bitter vegetable. Needs nice n tasty spinach to even it out but I'd prefer none at all.

I like a lot of vegetables.
I thought I hated green beans, until I went to a Chinese restaurant with a friend and she insisted on ordering them- so I gamely tried some, and they were actually really good. I assume my parents just don't cook them in a way that renders them tasty. I think I like mushrooms too: just not the portobello/baby bello/white button mushrooms that are the only mushrooms my parents have ever bought or prepared.

I don't like cooked broccoli (gross texture, brings out the bitterness), but I hate steamed/roasted cauliflower - just gross. You gotta fry it or drown it in sauce to make it good.

Oh, cucumbers. Cucumbers suck ass.

As for my favorite veggie, that's hard. Brussel sprouts are great when prepared correctly and lend themselves to a lot of different things. Okra is really nice. And of course potatoes are great- but you gotta eat the skins, because that's where the good nutrition is.

Favorite
Probably onions. Really levels up whatever you put them in. Salads, burgers, pizza, tacos, on occasion I've even been known to munch a little on their own. Also big on radish and celery, and spicy peppers bring up a lot of foods too. Oh, but they have to be fresh! Well, baked can be good too, but never boiled! Limp, overcooked onions are nothing but vessels of emptiness and disappointment.

Hated
Probably Asparagus. Generally speaking, I prefer my veggies fresh. Cooking brings a lot of them down. I don't even mind raw asparagus in moderation, but cook it and I don't even want to be in the same room with it! Exceptions apply of course. As far as I know, Brussels sprouts can only be good cooked.

Favorites: beans (especially black, pinto is a close second or equal depending on mood), broccoli, spinach, bok choy, corn
Not a fan at all: broccoli rabe, green beans, kidney beans

Cucumber and pumpkin are fruits, botanically. Then again, I think corn and possibly green beans are (or all beans?), too?

Celery; it tastes like funky plastic.
The top does, but it gets better the further down you go. Below the point where it branches, that weird bitterness is barely perceptible, and at the bottom where it gets pale and thick, and especially the base that the stalks branch off of are the best parts.

Biologically speaking, if it has seeds, its a fruit, if it is seeds, it's grain, and if neither, it's a vegetable, afaik. The grains distinction may not hold up to scrutiny.

Biologically speaking, "vegetable" isn't a real term. That's a culinary term that encompasses pretty much all savory, non-starchy plants that aren't nuts (while "fruit" encompasses all sweet plants).

I don't really think there's a vegetable that I don't like, and it's hard to choose a definitive favorite because they're used in different ways to great effect. I have preferences within certain categories, Red Onions over White, Serranos over Jalepenos (although those are probably "fruits"). I can really get down with Bok Choy and Hummus though, and if it wasn't so expensive I'd fill my fridge with it and eat it all day every day.

If I had to choose least favorite, I'd probably go with the common Brussel Sprouts and Cauliflower just because I never really use them. But they can still be good if prepared correctly.

As a Dutch person, potatoes do not count as the veggie in a meal.

Favourite: not sure if there is a common cultivar in English, but what we call Brown Beans in Dutch.
Least: probably asparagus, at best it is flavourless and at worst disgusting.

Most people who don't like Brussels sprouts don't like it because their parents overcooked them, which releases the sulfur compounds and makes them smell and taste terrible.

If they're cooked correctly, they're really amazing.

Cut up some bacon, then render the fat out of it. Remove the meat and set aside, keeping the fat in the pan. Add some chopped onions and Brussels sprouts, cut in half. Saute the sprouts just until they are al dente (soft, with just a slight resistance when you bite into one). Stir the bacon back into the sprouts, and serve over rice. Or if you're making pasta, mix 1/4 cup of the pasta water into the sprouts to make a sauce.

My most hated vegetable is Lima beans. I've hated them since I was a kid. I still refer to them as "slime-a" beans. There's just something really gross about them.

There's a lot of veggies that I like. Brussels sprouts, made properly, are totally amazing. Fresh sweet corn. Sauteed peas. Sauteed asparagus with just a bit of salt. When I make a turkey I place the bird on top of a bed of potatoes, carrots, and sweet onions so the juices drip onto the vegetables, and they taste almost as good as the turkey. I've eaten an entire 1 kilo canister of kimchi in the past 6 weeks. Sam's Club used to have bell peppers that were so good I ate them raw like you'd eat a carrot.
