He also acknowledged he was the problem and his attitude was wrong. Like fuck me, what else should a guy do other than admit his mistakes and learn from them....

I always kinda thought he was shitty, but I cant remember exactly how or when I formed that opinion. I know it was a long time ago because I used to watch a TON of standup starting 25+ years ago.

Glad to have something definitive to point to now when someone asks me why I dont like him..

I recall him doing an interview on Conan where he jokingly (kind of) stood up for Lance Armstrong, more or less saying, "Everyone in those sports does doping, so is it really that bad? Roided up Lance beat roided up everyone else, big deal."

Pretty much. Burr may be left-leaning overall, but he's never been shy about throwing out a regressive / downright ignorant take when the mood strikes him. He hasn't personally offended me enough yet for me to write him off completely, but I don't blame people who've already turned their back on him.
