I get it every now and then. I'm an electrician and in a blue collar field you're going to find plenty of chuds. The parts house we always go to has Fox News always on.

Down here in the south, if you're a white man, they're going to assume you're just like them since most people are like that. I've had people I don't even know make political statements and racist comments and "jokes".

Brazen arrogance and bigotry have been normalized and encouraged for the past decade. We used to shame people like that and even the dumbest of the dumb could develop a rudimentary set of morals and decencyor at least learned to keep their caveman ways out of the public.

Now the troglodytes actively hate positive qualities like intelligence and cooperation because they see other belligerently awful people succeeding when their only skill is being an asshole.

tl;dr chuds and bigots are just a lot more common now because theyre emboldened

I find that racists are often outright shocked when they run into a white person (who isn't an obvious student/hippie type), who doesn't share their views.

Back in my day, other than CHUD being an acronym for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller, it was also a slang term for a turd. I remember it that way from the 90s but even South Park used it in the mid 2000s.

I still remember when our local chuds tried to get the term shut down by claiming it was anti-homeless terminology.

Because if there's one group that MAGAts love supporting and protecting, it's the goddamn unhoused.

This works wonders. I put a Pride Flag patch on the back of my black camo backpack that sticks out like a sore thumb, and nobody has ever tried to approach me at work to spread their bigotry.

I had something like this once with a new coworker saying, "It'll be nice to have a real guy up here to talk to" when he found out I was moving up into the accounting office - it wasn't until later that it fully clicked that he was being shitty about the only other guy in accounting being an openly gay man. Thankfully that dude did not last long.

It happens to me at work too. I even get Chinese co-workers talking shit about Indian co-workers to me because I guess thats how the racial hierarchy goes? I dont even know. Just leave me out of your bullshit, people.
