As I said there, my parents were dog trainers. Shock collars arn't the most common tool anymore, but I've been around them and seen them used how theyre intended to be.

They can be abusive if misused, but so can choke chains and pinch collars. The point isn't to cause actual pain for the animal. Discomfort, yes, but not pain. >_>

There's a few things at want to say about this at this point, but honestly I don't feel like getting into a drawn out internet argument tonight. I'll split the core of what I'm feeling into two points and then I'm done. I'll read the inevitable responses telling me why I'm on wrong, but I need to get some shit done tonight.

• Constantly giving an influencer attention almost always just makes them more powerful. That's one thing that drove me up a wall about the "anti-SJWs" who constantly clutched pearls during the GamerGate shit a few years back. Their entire livelihood is based around the attention they get.
• I am genuinely starting to question the actual motivation behind these topics after a topic about Cruelty Squad that seemed written in such a way to misrepresent what actual happened. It was a little thing, but it did push me to the conclusion that a lot of this is just to find ways to shit on the left. Piker is an easy target for that given how hateable he sounds. I gave a lot of these topics the benefit of the doubt initially, but I'm leaning more and more in that direction.

Cruelty Squad or the dog? I'll just take people's word for it in regards to the dog. I have no reason to defend it, especially if its actual abuse nor do I have a reason to defend piker.

I am a bit of a fanboy of that game however. The creator openly hates and often trolls his fans. He posted a tasteless fan mod out of mockery and laughed at the outrage. ... this somehow became "the creator of cruelty squad made a Charlie Kirk level".

Even if that wasn't what humble intended to say and was poor reading comprehension on my part, Cruelty Squad has a particularly left leaning anti-capitalist fanbase that can get cringe at points. Making a topic to paint a negative picture about it all over fucking Charlie Kirk is ... yeah

People said same thing when I called out the endless topics giving Anita Sarkeesian attention. "She's already famous so that cricitsm doesn't matter". There's a difference between being internet famous and being an (almost) household name.
