That's really depressing.

I wish all these "vibe" producers would just fuck off and go away. Coders, filmmakers, artists.

Literally contributing nothing but white noise at best, at worst (in the case of code) can be outright dangerous to society.

And let me make it clear, it's one thing to use AI as a toy. The people who think theyre on the same level as those who actually know what they're doing are [redacted].

When your job is trying to sell music composition software to people who aren't interested in composing music, you are going to end up talking a lot of shit.

That struggle and challenge is what makes it so rewarding when things come together. When you finally nail that solo. When that spark goes off ending a creative rut and ideas start flowing. Even learning the ins and out of ptoduction and why things work the way they do.

Sounds like he's talking about people who like something but don't have real love and talent for it. Your average Joe. Like you hear someone tell you they want to be a singer, but they can't sing for shit. But instead of putting in the time to learn to sing, they just use autotune.

So in the sense that there are people who want the tech, I agree with him. I don't think we should respect the tech though. It's no different from lip syncing in my eyes.

but yeah this is gross and i think there will begin to be a deeper appreciation for human-made work over auto-created stuff. Just like slop fast food vs a real home cooked meal.

Imagine telling Nick Offerman that he doesn't need to do all that dumb woodworking stuff, he can just write a prompt into a 3d printing AI software and get any furniture he wants
