So I used a couple birds in greymoore to juggle myself up to a balloon near a cage elevator. I then kept going up and to the right and found a place called Sinners Rise with some silverfish. Kept going to the right, ended up in a pit with maggots. There was a mouse down here that I killed. But i seem to be stuck? I have no way of getting out of here, not sure if I'm missing something or if I'm just meant to have an ability that i currently don't due to skipping

Afraid to quit out cuz i worked hard to get here

It's too high up. There's nothing for me to juggle myself on to get up there

Sinner's Road? I think you need wall jump to go higher in that area.

You can quit out and it saves your progress and sends you back to the last bench so no matter what you can't soft lock.

I don't know exactly where you are so I can't help otherwise

Is there not a little lever on a trapdoor above the pit that you can hit to flip open the door?

I'm guessing you're in the pit underneath the screen with the green guy in a cage.

There's absolutely no way you're genuinely soft locked in there. Worst case scenario you could die and use a Silkeater to get your cocoon? If you don't have any of those, you can go below where you entered Bilewater in the bottom right of Sinner's Road to find a guy who makes them for you

You're sure you can't go back the way you came either? That area has some regenerating flying bugs to try to pogo on

dunno if you'd care to do it, but the devs might actually patch the game to compensate your sequence break if you hit them up. Or at least make it less breakable.

I think TC is at the part where a path to the right takes you to Styx.

Not sure how you got there, though.

That's way further, though. I feel like there would be more notable things than just "a mouse" on the way there.

he is in the bottom of the big room that leads to the bench. I think you can only leave the way you got there.

The only other place that can be described as a "pit of maggots with a mouse" at that stage in the game is the one near the entrance underneath the green prince but it's easy to jump back up. It's mostly just annoying because you can't see what's down there until you flip a lever and fall in it.

Yeah, that's the spot I was assuming. I think you need wall jump to go any higher.

Getting into Sinner's Road early doesn't really break anything. Should be able to just go back down to Greymoor.

I already quit out but when Im at my desk I can head back there to show you. It's nothing like that screenshot

You enter Sinners Path from the left. There's a room with a bunch of cages and silverfish. I entered a room on the right. There was a bench sign pointing to a path i couldnt reach, so I found a little secret door heading down. then I was in a green pit of water, full of maggots that ate my power bar. There was a mouse enemy to the right

It looked like the only way out of the pit was the way I came in

Ok yeah that should have been easy to jump back out because I did the same thing you did. The secret door closes after a second or so, you have to hit the lever again to jump back out.

running into the same issue i did in hollow knight 1. i cant remember where anything is and i can never remember where ive been (regardless of map)

leads to a pretty "fuck im bored" burnout. break time, i guess
