RULES

• Every user is allowed to vote for 20 of their favorite games on a particular system
• The format will allow for one +5, two +4s, three +3s, four +2s, and ten +1s
• You don't have to use all your votes and you can distribute them in any way you like
• Almost every game on a particular system is allowed.
• Put multiple versions of games as a single entity (i.e. mainline Pokemon, DX versions of GB games)
• Japanese-only games are acceptable
• Standalone expansions are acceptable. Anything requiring the base game is to be included with the original title.
• Homebrew games are acceptable so long as they were made to be played on original hardware.
• ROM Hacks are NOT acceptable.
• Games run via emulation (i.e. Virtual Console, PSOne Classics, etc.) are NOT acceptable
• Early Access games are to be counted only when they have officially released. If a game went into early access in 2019, but fully released in 2022, then it would be counted as 2022. Games which are currently in early access are to be determined as the present decade (2020s).
• If a different version of a PC game was released in one decade (i.e. an HD remaster that is otherwise the same game, or is included in a compilation of sorts), it will not be counted for the later decade. This is a rule exclusive to PC for the time being. Remakes are still fair game.
• Go by your favorites rather than gaming your votes to create more "interesting" results or whatever. I won't accept changes if I suspect this is occurring.
• If you would like to provide write-ups at all, just notify me in the topic on what games you would want to write about, and I can send you a PM if one or more of your games makes it.
• This will be open for at least 2 weeks. Might make it longer if it seems there is benefit to it. I'll probably give people a little over a week for writeups too, unless some leeway is needed.

this one's a tough one partially because i've never owned an xb1 myself (only got to experience it through friends and family who had very different games than what i'd usually play (the standard cod, rockstar stuff, fallout...76 and just dance...)) and partially because i'm going through the game list for stuff i played elsewhere and am constantly running into games that were unoptimised to the point that they were generally closer to switch performance than ps4... in some cases even on the one x)

part of me feels bad for omitting basically every game with an actually noteworthy xb1/xb1x release (eg. Halo 5, Killer Instinct, RDR2, Titanfall 2, Cyberpunk, MGSV and others i probably wouldn't have bothered including lol) but oh well. looking at the upcoming release schedule it also feels like maybe this overall ranking would actually change by the end of the console's lifecycle (i mean it's getting ff7r in a few months, and also 20% of my own list are from this year edit: well it was until i edited out Best Served Cold anyway). might be fun to revisit in a few years or whenever it finally dies lol.

If were to ever do this you would have to

A) Wait a few days to see more votes come in
and B) Don't snitch on yourself

I mean you should always vote for what you genuinely feel are the best, but no one would know otherwise if you don't call yourself out.

I'm sure people have done it under my nose many times before but yeah, I've discounted a few people who snitched themselves out on good ol' rule 13 in the past.

in any case we got more votes in so it doesn't actually matter

though also just for clarification, when i said about changing my vote, i was contemplating reverting to my ORIGINAL list (i prepared two since i had close to 50 games overall noted down, and had just deliberately removed basically all the mainstream stuff from the one i actually posted), it wouldn't have been like "me specifically giving more points to stuff that hasn't been picked", though admittedly i was thinking about the switch because i saw there was no halo (and there is now lol)

the focus of the first one was more to emphasise releases that i could find that had actually decent xb1 versions, the focus of the latter was just "picking my favourite games with no consideration for performance" lol (and as you can tell, i didn't spend nearly as much time on it since i managed to miss that two of those games weren't even available on xb1 lmao)
