a good perk is for an employee meal for hours worked.

my uncle had that working at this local place called Pig n' Pancake. he brought back big containers of soup to enjoy (stuff that was going to be thrown out).

Rarely... Like on holidays or the rare special occasion...

Not really my crew though... They tend to forget about Night Crew when planning out food rewards... Or they'll leave like a crock pot thats been off and uncovered hours before any of our shifts have started then get annoyed that we didn't eat it...

Theyre far too lenient with that. Makes after hour functions mandatory kind of. They rent out places. Do sponsored happy hours etc. Same deal at my last job too.

Current employer: infrequent team lunches.

Last employer: free snacks available in the break room. Sometimes cokes and other drinks in the fridge. Also, I helped out the facilities guy with a bunch of stuff, so I could special order any snacks I wanted. Those were the days.

Every once in a while. Literally the only time I eat McDonald's is if someone goes out and gets us breakfast.

Last week we had pizza because we finished one of our last guaranteed jobs.

My job will have regular company staff meetings and those are always catered. We'll also go out to restaurants to commemorate specific work events or times of the year, like Christmas or finishing an audit or making it through the end of the fiscal year. We'll also celebrate birthdays by buying pizza or cake. Also on occasion the kitchen will have extra food on hand so the food workers will make everyone meals for breakfast or lunch instead of throwing it out.

For my last job, they had pantry snacks and gave us meals we could order once a week.

I don't care as much if I get free snacks in the next job. I'll just bring my own, and they're healthier. Also will be being food from home for lunch.

though i'm sure if you asked most bosses they'd just chuckle and say that if you're eating then they paid for it since they pay you...

There are many occasions throughout the year where our employers will buy us food. It's not a common occurrence, mostly just for safety milestones, some holidays, as a "thank you" for voluntary overtime on weekends, probably other things I'm forgetting. In our most recent safety milestone, we were allowed to order whatever we wanted (up to a certain quantity) from Longhorn Steakhouse.

There is a subsidized on site cafeteria. Options include food from the grill, salad bar, soup, sandwiches, or a hot entree with side dishes. A decent lunch generally runs from $5 to $8.

I used to work at Starbucks, the free food and drinks while on the clock were great. However some stores I worked at would place a limit on how much you could have and/or take home with you each shift.

For in-office folks, they have a catering-like system with a daily $15 stipend Tu-W-Th, selection of local restaurants rotates daily.

They also have ample snacks in the office at all times. Chips, soda machine, yogurt, granola bars, etc.

I work remote though and feed myself for the most part, but its nice to have tha the few occasions I go in.

It's usually only for lunch, though.
