It's always fucking something. This time my save data got erased.

Well, fuck Kingdom Hearts I guess.

That game is mid anyway tbh.

I'm no expert, but KH continuity is pretty iffy in general.

So moving on to the next game in KH is more viable than in most franchises that have multi-game story lines.

Same, but remove the Birth by Sleep part.

Strictly in terms of lore, Birth by Sleep is one of KH's more important games.
It's basically Kingdom Hearts 0.

Gameplay wise is more up to opinion. I always liked it myself.

I had issues with both the story and the gameplay. But yeah, it's definitely not skippable.

That's... a pretty nice way to put it.

Anyway tc shame about the erasure, but I will say that the gameplay experience is somewhat elevated if you're playing it on a ps4 instead of the original psp, since having ps4 controller controls from the 2.5 collection does help, if nothing else. Even though I had already suffered through the psp version years prior, I actually played it again on 2.5 and the console controls definitely helped, since there was nothing to do about the crap story and characters and laughable voice acting (not the actors fault as I actually like a lot of who SE got, but something about the direction or the way they did it just wasn't good).
