I'm not very motivated to game right now, so I spend some time watching movies I've never seen.

This is a great movie!

yea, what I came in to ask.

I know most people prefer the original, but I had a teacher who really liked the remake with Tony Danza.

I also heard that the Russian remake was good.

Don't you agree, Zach?

There is more than one?

The one from 1957 is the one I've watched.
I assume it's the original.

So glad to talk about this movie with someone, I absolutely loved this movie when I first saw it. To this day that scene where they just turn their back on the racist tirade and don't engage lives rent free in my head. I kind of wonder why internet denizens aren't able to do that but oh well.

A lot of it, especially the spirit of it still holds up today.

Yeah, great scene! There were so many great lines in that movie. I also admire Nr. 8 for standing against everyone else at the very beginning, just because he wasn't 100% convinced of the accused's guilt. This is no easy task. The longer they talked, the more of them started questioning the case.

Excellent movie. A little annoying to watch if you have an inkling of how juries work, or maybe I'm just a pedant, but the juror misconduct was insane, and a real judge would have declared a mistrial and probably charged #8 with contempt.

This is what people mean when they say "the original..." but it actually isn't!

Tbh, juror 8 is breaking the law himself. Jurors can't conduct independent investigations, so the moment he went out and bought a knife to compare to the supposed murder weapon, that should have been a mistrial right then and there.

Now watch Bridge on the River Kwai.
Hitler has only got one ball,
Gring has two but very small,
Himmler is rather sim'lar,
But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all!
