New Vince Gilligan show starring Rhea Seehorn

Just watched the first episode so far, creepy as hell but some of it was hilarious (the chyron gag during the TV conversation)

I will be watching this solely because of how goddamn amazing Rhea Seehorn was in BCS.

I too watched the first episode last night, will offer some thoughts on the first two episodes at some point. The wife and I plan on watching the second episode tonight.

For those who dont know, the show is on Apple TV. The first two episodes dropped yesterday and we get a new episode weekly until around Christmas.

First season is nine episodes, and a second season is in the works. Both seasons were greenlit at the same time.

I went into this knowing absolutely nothing besides vince gilligan. Not even a tagline.

What the fuck

How do you do an entire season with this premise (much less two)

I trust Vince Gilligan more than I trust pretty much any other showrunner and so far I'm loving this show. I'm wondering where he's taking it and there's a really thin line I think when it comes to keeping everyone likeable but I think he knows what he's doing and holy shit Rhea Seehorn is just an exceptionally good actress.

I watched the second just now, really good. Vince is having fun with that Apple Budget I think.

The fact that the trailers didn't expose ANY of the insane stuff that happened in the first episode that gives away the entire premise of the show is a masterclass.

I really didn't expect any of this, and there's so much excellent directing in that first episode and legitimately awesome horror stuff. This show is awesome and I'm excited to see where it goes from there.

watched the second ep last night

cinematography is immaculate

cold open was amazing

vince really made use of the apple money for some of these shots jesus christ

Apple's the best streamer out there imo. It's always been my Netflix, so to speak. (I haven't even subbed to Netflix in like seven years.)

Absolutely agree with this; even Apple's most average offering is still far better than the average of any other streamer.

I'd say that Apple and Paramount probably have the best consistent quality.

Peacock is starting to catch up now though.

My family entirely ditched Paramount this year for reasons unrelated to the quality, but I'd only been attached to it for Star Trek properties. I find the Yellowstone guy's work to be absolutely garbage.

These are the two I typically have at my routine disposal, but (like scarlet), Paramount+ is primarily a Star Trek portal for me. New shows when theyre on; old shows again now that my partner is going through them.

The second episode was not as good as the first but still really good.

its niche is basically sci fi and feel good comedies

which is my wheelhouse too (plus with the Verizon combo generally isnt bad to keep with the music combo)

Just watched the first two episodes. Pretty freaking good!

I don't feel like a lot happened in the latest episode but it really built the world out well and it was hilarious. No complaints here.
