The thing about Force Awakens is that it was a bit dumb but it did a good job setting up the trilogy, it had a lot of mystery boxes to play with.
So you were one of those dipshits, I see. The entire Sequel Trilogy was immediately ruined at the fucking opening crawl, which establishes that Luke is STILL the last Jedi, 30 years later. Which meant:
- no more Jedi in the movies other than Rey
- every expanded universe material set before the movies has to kill off any Jedi in them
- Luke is a massive failure
- The New Republic is a massive failure
