Shotgunnova posted... Writing. The dialogue is mediocre and -- now that I've written a game script for this site -- you can go back and look at how bad it is. Lots of hemming and hawing, stuttering, choppy nonsense, etc. It all winds up passable, but I'd hope they'd do way better on a sequel. I can definitely see how many people hated all the characters, though. I was okay with most of 'em, but got a little annoyed by certain aspects, like Rikki constantly snooping every time you tried to do something on your own. Iron Mike was pretty great overall, however, so he might wind up being my fave character. (O'Brian was good, too, and didn't deserve most of the hate he got.)
As for Boozeman, I personally enjoyed him. He was way better pre-Lost Lake, though, because he mellowed out afterwards and got kinda bland. The part where you blow up the reservoir and drown the Rippers was badass, though -- maybe the most badass moment in the entire game. And I was glad to have Boozer there to enjoy it.
I honestly just wanted more Boozer throughout the game. Boozer
kicking Deeks ass with one arm was a great moment. The one you mentioned in tags was incredible. And honestly, I loved Boozer's jokes, despite
losing his arm.
