It was always true. As someone who grew up under consistent physical and verbal abuse I can attest that there is no comparison.
All the years of people insulting and mocking me was never as bad as the ones that would beat me up for fun.

Experience is reality. This imaginary world you live in where words can kill does not exist. Only weak people invest all their self-worth through the eyes of others.
Wait until someone knocks the wind out of you and then tell me how bad his insults were in comparison.
