Lyrically it's still a step above many other English K-Pop songs, but I think the required perspective is just knowing what it took to get this product. Concept and execution. Every member's pronunciation has improved. Meanwhile most stateside artists will never feel the need to figure out another language.

Back in my day, when the k pop was REAL, the kpop was in korean! and we didn't have no willy nilly translation color coordinated youtube nonsense! you just had to learn hangeul! and you still didn't know what they said! and the english parts you actually good sing along made no sense!
