I played FF7 in 2004 and beat it a month or so later. Great game, but it was really about my curiosity as to why people here called it the best game ever. As an N64 kid, my "best game ever" of that era was Ocarina of Time.
When VII Remake came out, I went in with skepticism. "Why remake this game to such unnecessary lengths? Why not just do it like FF4 and be done with it?"
My God. I had no idea what I was getting into. The more I played through Remake, the more I loved it. I hit the Platinum and finished Intergrade completely. I have scarcely ever loved a game so much.
The same goes for Rebirth which has only rekindled my obsession with the series. I'm 150 hours in and trying to finish the Chadley battle challenges before I start hard mode.
I cannot wait to see what Part III brings.
