The ninja warrior obstacle courses for kids comes close I think. But relying on 90s nostalgia is a ship I think has mostly sailed at this point personally.
its not just game shows. There are entire genres of kids programming that just dont exist anymore.
Like for example where are horror stories for kids? We had goosebumps, are you afraid of the dark, tales from the crypt, etc. kids today have the five nights at Freddys movie?
i feel like todays children entertainment really caters towards a more 1-2 specific groups, namely kindergarten.
