My cousin, a coworker friend, and an old roommate all separately loved the crap out of that series. It all came together when I realized they would blaze right before booting it up, ha
The specific venn diagram of people I co-op with also bounced off, so I didn't get far. My favorite borderlands is the telltale game, ha
I don't like squinting at item stat blocks, I don't like numbers popping out of enemies when I shoot them, I don't like flippant cruelty, I don't like bad plots or MMO style quests in non mmos even when lampshaded, I'm not a huge fan of drab post apocalyptic settings, I like when enemies react or stagger when shot... Add it all up, and while most of these are endemic to the genre, there were other titles that hooked me more

I know *it* isn't a roguelike but the weapons feel like they are.I get what you mean. To quibble, the weapons felt more diabloesque than roguelike to me, not that there's a significant difference
