I think the main thing is that if she's a bad friend you probably shouldn't keep her in your life. Why would you be surprised that she didn't get you a gift if you already know she's not a good friend.

I think you want something that you aren't going to get so you are clinging to the closest thing, some sort of relationship with this person. I don't think you should do that to yourself.

i wasnt surprised I always figured it was pretty likely I wasnt going to get anything which is why I was always prepared to go this route with her.

and yeah Im not gonna lie to a certain extent I was there holding on to the chance of a relationship with her I was in no rush I wasnt desperate for it but I did keep that door open so to speak. Mainly what did it was the fact our relationship had changed a lot since the last time we talked about where we will stay with each other and to the point there was discussion about vacations And staying at each others houses late into the night
