Lightning Bolt posted...What does he have to do with Ground types? He uses a Persian I thought?
Persian is his pet in the anime. Pokemon yellow which is based heavily off the events of the anime he does use Persian in battle though.
Giovanni strictly uses only ground type pokemon except for Kangaskhan and Nidorino (which evolves into a ground type) and that's when you battle him at the rocket hideout and Silph Co. before the "big reveal" of the boss of team rocket being the final gym leader. In the gym he only uses ground pokemon.
