Are the teachers not adults that could have done something themselves.... seems like everyone passing the buck.
Would imagine that the teacher that was the target knew enough not to want to be involved in the direct confrontation because that would have likely agitated the child, and expected higher ups would do a proper investigation. May even have been a rule that this is passed to VP/Principal to deal with and they clearly fucked up big time.
This article is a bit confusing, because it sounds like the money she "won" is from suing the VP, and what they face now are criminal charges. Doubt the VP of an elementary school has enough for the victim to actually see much of a judgment unless the school was one of the entities getting sued.
