All semi-automatic weapons? No. That means basically everything except muzzle loaders and bolt-action rifles. I would support a ban on higher capacity magazines. You do not need to carry dozens of rounds for any legitimate purpose. If you're target shooting, just fucking reload, and a deer isn't going to give you even a second shot anyway.

I know, I was tempted to go out and buy a AR-15 just to be safe... but then I realized CT already banned that. Fun fact, though: CT's harsher gun laws passed in the wake would have done NOTHING do prevent Sandy Hook or another incident like it -- partly because the weapons are grandfathered, but also because Adam Lamza didn't purchase the weapons he used.

Outside of an all out ban, which is unconstitutional, it couldn't have been prevented.
