You know, the one with the blue guys, not that airbender trainwreck

I haven't seen it fully, and I don't know what to think about it actually

It came out that long ago? lol wow..
A little basic in terms of plot (nature vs military, blah blah) but otherwise it was a fun movie, I know I saw it at least twice.

It's one of like two movies I would actively prefer to see in 3D.

I actually watched most of it the other day cause a buddy had it playing in the background. still feel the same about it as I did when it came out which is pretty meh
it's not terrible at anything, it just feels like a waste of time to watch

Sorry, obviously not native here. I forgot that you don't need the past tense when you use the "did"... and suddenly I remember it with the 'click' part, ok

Yeah this is kinda what I feel, the movie is not that bad for what I've seen, but if watching it is the only thing I'm doing, it feels like a waste of time.

Proof: I'm typing this while watching it lol

I thought it was pretty pedestrian story wise. It's really just a Pocahantas clone at its core. Visually though it was really impressive.

It was an interesting theatrical experience but I have zero desire to ever see it again. Nor do I care to see the half dozen sequels Cameron wants to make.

Oh, that has been a staple for a long time. Dances with wolves is the earliest movie with that trope that I remember.

It's difficult to do something original these days tbh.

Yeah I agree, at the very least, is pretty weird.

And the hard part is that I learn here and similars sites, where people like me learns english as well, and I have to see people with bad grammar, and I don't know if I should ignore it or take it as a learning >_>

It was ok, I don't think I would have enjoyed it if I didn't see it in 3D, though. The 3D was pretty great, and I felt like it was the only 3D movie worth watching during the 3D craze.
Good movie, terrible plot with just about every cliche you could think of in it.

But hey, how can this be possible?

Not automatically

The score is good, the visuals are pretty, the CGI is fun, the characters are palatable...

plot isn't everything

Of course not. Not for everyone at least.
But if the movie has a terrible plot, it cannot be a good movie. I can't imagine it. I like a lot of movies that have an awful plot, but you won't see me saying it was a good movie, it's just a personal opinion. It can be a good background when doing other things, I guess.

Hey, btw, what is the other movie you would prefer in 3D?

I still haven't seen the whole thing. I've seen maybe an hour of different bits of it.

Wasn't really interesting enough to make me sit down and watch the whole thing though.

I honestly spent a good five minutes before my previous post trying to figure out what that other movie was, but I can't recall it. I know there's another one though.

Part of me wants to say Doctor Strange, but that seems too recent and I also am pretty sure I didn't see it in 3D. Maybe I recall thinking it would be a good 3D movie, but I don't know

Saw it in IMAX 3D and loved it. Watched it a few years ago at home and thought it was really average
"Every man dies, but not every man truly lives."
It's one of two movies I've seen multiple times in theaters.

First time I saw it with one group of friends, next time a different group and only went because one offered to buy my ticket so we could all hang together. This was when they rereleased it with extra scenes and I had just started dating my wife and she wanted to see it.

It was alright as a movie, I mainly enjoyed it because the 3D was done so well and you truly felt like you were in that beautiful world.
Visually the movie is spectacular, but as a whole its average.

You should word it out more confrontationally like "10 years later, was it a good movie?" or "10 years later, was it overrated?". Because anyone can like something, there doesn't need to be any objectivity behind it.

If I ask "did you like", automatically there is 0 objectivity on it. But I'll try to take the movie's age on account.

What the hell, I'll, just gonna do it, enjoy your "did you like" clickbait spam.

Suggestions start right now

Ave, true to Caesar.
I liked it.

But I mean, it was literally space pocahontas, and I also liked that.
It was an okay visual spectacle, but it seems to me like the least anticipated major planned franchise that I can think of. Not to mention that they kind of missed the window from when there was high demand.

The whole point of the movie is as a 3d experience

As for the rest, it's pretty average. Not bad, but not memorable either.

Thats kind of harsh, but it wasn't super original either. It was basically a dances with the wolves / last samurai rehash

my most enjoyable experience of that movie was from this board when (some) people complained why the "good guys" lost.

Eh... When I watched it I hadn't fully developed critical thought (19) but I definitely remember feeling like it dragged on forever. It was, of course, a visual spectacle. But looking back on what I remember of it, it was a very Fern Gully type of movie.

You know, big bad white man comes into town with his big bad machines and fucks up nature! And that's bad!
