Gotta cancel our FFXIV subs due to finances, but need something to scratch that itch. My laptop is shit tho and can't play most newer games.

Mostly looking for something fun, nice aesthetic and no pvp focus.

I forgot if Path of Exile is intensive on the computer specs. It does if you make some build that spawns hundreds of things per second.

I don't know if the Excalibur servers for Ragnarok Online are still functional, but me and my buddy used to have a blast playing that several years ago. Faster leveling, didn't have to pay that ridiculous cost they were charging for the real game, and War on Emperium was actually fun.

Thanks for the recs, will keep looking at new posts but we're downloading SWTOR right now. We played a bit of Warframe but she doesn't have her PS4 here so we can't play that til end of the year. Shame since she's excited & loves that game and I didn't get much of a chance.

Neverwinter is actually a lot of fun and worth checking out.

Guild Wars 2 would be my top suggestion. The basegame is free to play and the expansions are buy2play, no subscriptions.

Guild Wars 2, easily. It has the second best F2P option (I would put it below FFXIV, but I should also stress that the difference between the two isn't big an preferences in gameplay and the like would be far bigger), the game was designed in such a way that a potato could run it if you aren't doing WvW (the mass PvP system), and if you do decide to buy it the fact that it has no subscription means that you can comparatively cheaply play it for as long as you want to (and don't have any pressure to "get your money's worth").
