all the time and misgendered. it happens enough where i don't take it personally
Oddly I've been asked if I'm Asian, too. But man, I don't see the markers at all. I have a Mediterranean nose, no epicanthic fold on my eyes, and my eyelids are only a tiny bit hooded.
Also, when it was politically okay to blame illegal Mexicans for EVERYTHING wrong in America, I was called an illegal and told multiple times to go back to Mexico.
Some Indians thought I was white, then other times I get asked if I'm from Guyana or Trinidad. My dad's side of the family is Indian from Trinidad. Other Caribbean people definitely recognize it when they hear my accent.
I've gotten Italian before, my mom's side of the family is PR and Ecuador.
Lmao nope. I'm H-W-whiteSame but my father's side is more prevalent. German, English. Mother is French and one of the native american tribes that live in Canada( I forget the name)
I guess.
I "Identify" as 50% Italian (mom's side) and 50% Puerto Rican (dad's side), but my last name is more attributed to people from Dominican Republic, so people assume I'm Dominican.
Every person I've ever seen (athletes, actors, etc) or met with the same last name are all Dominican, so I understand why.
