Don't tease the octopus, kids!
Ive been called German once by other Dutchies.
No, but I get a lot of people assuming that I'm a woman because of my voice and longer hair, and they can't actually be bothered to look at the lowly cashier they're buying something from.
Lmao nope. I'm H-W-white
Cookin like a chef, I'm a 5 Star Michelin
I get Jewish and middle eastern a lot. I'm Mexican tho lol

all the time and misgendered. it happens enough where i don't take it personally
Proud fan of the worst team in American professional sports history: the Chicago Cubs.
Constantly. I've been mistaken for Turkish, Moroccan, Greek, Spanish and Italian. Probably because I've got some Romani ancestry.

Once was walking home from school in my late teens and a car with German plates pulled up next to me occupied by 2 adult Turks and 2 children. One of the men gets out, shakes my hand and starts talking in his native language to me while palming a wristwatch into my hand.
Seeing the very confused look on my face he asked "You not Turkish?" in English and then proceeded to explain they came from Germany to visit relatives in France, but they had miscalculated how much gas it would take and had no money to refill the tank. So he was trying to sell me his watch. They remained unlucky as I was even worse with money as a teen than I am today, so I had nothing to give.

Oddly I've been asked if I'm Asian, too. But man, I don't see the markers at all. I have a Mediterranean nose, no epicanthic fold on my eyes, and my eyelids are only a tiny bit hooded.

mostly same except the nose
i'm almost full blooded italian

Ethiopians in the downtown area of the city I live in used to always think I was also Ethiopian. The most I know about my family history is that my great great grandfather was straight up Italian, and everything else is Black American or claimed native ancestry which I wasn't going to get tricked into verifying with 23andMe

It was funny when they greeted me in foreign languages and I could only say "huh" and they switched to English. Happened almost every single time I stepped outside and interacted with them
Roll Tide & Go Irish
Absolutely not.

I am painfully white.
The name is wackyteen for a reason. Never doubt.
I'm White. I have Native American ancestry on my dad's side. Every great once in a while, someone asks me if I'm Puerto Rican. I get compared to Pedro Pascal a lot. (I'm shorter and chubbier though.)
Yes, people think I am Irish.

I'm mostly Northern Italian.

I'm majority ethnicity in my home country and I very rarely leave the country for people to even mistake me anywhere else. I also don't tend to get mistaken online because I have a somewhat normal sleep schedule so I don't look like I'm in someone else's timezone
THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE!! THERES SO MUCH PEOPLE READING AND POSTING STUIPED STUFF
Some Indians thought I was white, then other times I get asked if I'm from Guyana or Trinidad. My dad's side of the family is Indian from Trinidad. Other Caribbean people definitely recognize it when they hear my accent.

I've gotten Italian before, my mom's side of the family is PR and Ecuador.

I've been mistaken for Mexican and Arab, though the latter was a long time ago.

A lady once told me I look like a Viking and I thought she was seeing things, but then I later found out I'm descended from them, so I guess she knew what she was talking about.

Yeah, my whole family did. We're Korean, and you can figure out what majority of people thought we were. Any Asian growing up in the US can attest to this.

Literally all my life.
It got worse when I moved to America and white folks are determined to put you in a box so they can discriminate against you.

I've been called Arab and Middle Eastern when 9/11 happened. The amount of discrimination I experienced during that time.

Also, when it was politically okay to blame illegal Mexicans for EVERYTHING wrong in America, I was called an illegal and told multiple times to go back to Mexico.

I'm Indian (from India) and white mixed.

POLITICS IS MY RELIGION

No, but because my last name is so common where I live, I've had full on conversations with people before we find out that we aren't related, or they aren't related to other people I know with my last name.

This is the Hallmark of modern Racism.

When people say anyone from Central America is Mexican.
That is all you need to hear.

Completely overlooking, all of the other countries.
Not to mention how much America fucked over Central America over the last 60 years.

I guess.

I "Identify" as 50% Italian (mom's side) and 50% Puerto Rican (dad's side), but my last name is more attributed to people from Dominican Republic, so people assume I'm Dominican.

Every person I've ever seen (athletes, actors, etc) or met with the same last name are all Dominican, so I understand why.
It takes zero effort to be a good person.
All the time unless the person is smart enough to ask for my last name. 3/4 Vietnamese and 1/4 French. Filipino or Mexican are the two that people assume about me because I have big eyes for an asian.

People where I live often assume Im American. Youd think the accent would be a dead giveaway but apparently not.

I have, on rare occasions, also had people think that I was French or Italian in the past. The French one I can understand, because when they encountered me, I was speaking French to somebody else for a good chunk of the evening. The Italian one I have no explanation for.

The closest was someone double checking I'm half black I think they thought I was an Asian with the trendy curly hair going round but that was in highschool and the person was dumb lol
I am a mess and Felicia is the cleaner....
While I expect to be mistaken with other Asian nationalities, it only happened once.

Somehow I have had people thought I was Hispanic or White. I really don't understand how I got mistaken for that second one.
Blah, blah, blah, and blah.
