How is Galuf temporary? His base stats, name, and sprite change during the game but his abilities and experience continue unchanged.Because he dies and his granddaughter joins your team for the rest of the game

Your theory is more whack than what if squall was dead the whole timeI jest. Final Fantasy 5 doesnt have characters. It just has a battle system.
As much as I hate Final Fantasy 12, it provided me with my favourite temporary character in the entire franchise, Reddas. He was able to attack extremely fast, and helped me out a ton. Sadly it was only for a short period of time, but I would literally rather kill off Vaan and Penelo to keep him in the party for the entire game.
FF12 was about the wrong characters.

Also, you seriously didn't include Laguna and party as a single entry? I get FF8 is often considered "forgotten" by you literally put BOTH SEIFER AND EDEA in the poll so you clearly did NOT forget FF8.
I didn't even remember Seifer BEING a party member. Probably cause he wasn't controllable as was a tutorial snark.
Seymour would have been great if you could summon Anima with him. Otherwise the only thing good about him is a pretty cool Overdrive that literally no one ever sees because the boss is already dead by the time you can use it..They literally coulda just disabled his Overdrive bar and it woulda been less frustrating than trying to fill it without killing the boss first. Also summoning Anima in that situation woulda been disastrous for his plans and it woulda kinda spoiled the Macalania temple fight. It is disappointing in the moment realizing you can't do it though.

I love Galuf and will die on that hill.He is who I voted for. How he went out against Exdeath ranks as one of my favorite Final Fantasy moments. Also generally liked his dialogue.
