Literally everyone but Han Solo / Harrison Ford failed in their careers and didnt amount to anything bigger. Why is that?

I'm curious here but what movies other than Star Wars did Harrison Ford do that was bigger than Star Wars?

Nothing bigger but Indiana Jones would have been the closest.

LMAO at Air Force One being bigger than Star Wars. Indiana Jones is closer but still not bigger by any means.

Really had to outdo your first post, right?

Agreed, not bigger, but still a movie. Other guys never even made it into a movie afterwards.

In the 15 years after Star Wars, were there any movies as big as Star Wars? Star Wars is so huge that creates an impossible standard.

Alec Guinness was in like a dozen other movies after rotj but it was also like the ass end of his career. Dude was old as dirt. This is like looking up Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino and being like "man that movie really ruined his career"

Mark Hamill was in other movies but his VA stuff was more successful so that's the path he chose to focus on.

Carrie Fisher is the only one who didn't really do much of note and probably didn't feel like she had to because she got a royalty contract.

Oh. Didnt know she was rich anyway. What made her want to become an actress for an unknown movie that was forecasted to fail (but obviously did not)?

Why are you asking me? Ask TC.
Mark Hamill actually did have a noteworthy voice acting career after Star Wars. His biggest thing was unquestionably SW but it's not like he dropped off the face of the planet completely like some of the others.
Carrie Fisher gave birth to the most gorgeous creature to ever grace the earth so ya know I can forgive her for not being in more movies.

She still worked, it was just a lot of behind the scenes stuff. In the late 80s and early 90s, she was maybe the biggest "script doctor" in Hollywood. When somebody wanted a movie punched up, they would pay Carrie Fisher to go through, clean it up, and make a better movie. She did something like 40 movie scripts I think.

Star wars has made more money overall than Batman, but if we're just talking about Hamil's mark (heh) on the franchise, Batman has made more than just the Mark Hamil Star Wars projects.

Only Mark would be able to answer this but I'm curious which franchise made specifically him more money.

Did he want to become a voice actor or was that out of necessity because he couldnt find work as an actor?

Its kind of like that Star Wars Anakin dude, who failed after the Star Wars 1, 2, and 3 trilogy. Feel bad for him too.

How do you define bigger? Going by this wiki page, Star Wars has Batman beat pretty handily in terms of highest-grossing overall.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-grossing_media_franchises
The answer to the question nobody asked.
It's better for someone like Harrison Ford to be a leading man in several box office hits due to his name than be a supporting actor for a franchise that's big without him. Not really sure why people are arguing this.

For him most of his movies post-Star Wars made him more money.
