So if you're out driving or whatever during tomorrow's solar eclipse please be aware that regular sunglasses will not protect your eyes if you look directly at it.

Also, do not try to take a pic or vid of the solar eclipse with your phone. Your phone's circuits could fry. No joke.
I think The Simpsons is still awesome and I'm not afraid to say it.

No you'll see everything forever

I told a friend to be careful not to look at it directly tomorrow as he walks around looking for closeby jobs and he said "ah I don't believe in that"

And I was like, "it permanently damaged my dad's eyes when he looked at one as a kid, what do you mean?"

Didn't blind him, however it did give a permanent black spot he sees in one of his eyes that prevented him from becoming a pilot, which was his military dream growing up.

No, no, let them try it.

It'll be funny .
Well duh
I'm just a girl who loves games
so why would the eclipse mess your eyes up if you look at it? i know you aren't supposed to, but idk why.

You're trying awful hard to keep us all from seeing it. Idk what you're trying to hide, but I'm gonna look twice as hard to figure it out.

Yes. When the eclipse happens you will notice it getting darker and darker

If you experience the onset of eclipse blindness pull over immediately.

I think its because your eye is undilated and then suddenly is staring straight into the sun.

the eclipse is the same as looking at the sun any normal day

the difference is your eyes are dilated in the dark and you won't feel like you are looking at the sun

so it is like looking at the sun without the AHHAHHHH reflex that makes you unable to look at the sun for more than a second without turning away or basically closing your lids in squinting
Ok that makes sense.

How much do we want to bet that Trump stares directly into this one too
basically you can damage your eyes the same way on any day but you body will warn you and it will difficult because your eyes reflex to squint so you would willfully force them wide open to do so

And neither will the polarized 3D glasses used in theatres. Seeing some people mention they are going to use those.
The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact.
Everything else, is theory.

Going to stare directly at the eclipse tomorrow and file for disability on Tuesday. :)
When is it?

The sun is very powerful. Staring at it during an eclipse will hurt your eyes just as staring at it on a regular day will hurt your eyes. The difference is during an eclipse theres a greater temptation to look at it and a false belief it wont be as bright.

During totality its safe to look at it but be aware totality is short and will end suddenly

You can't see it but the UV light will burn your eyeballs. IDK how the fuck people actually do it voluntarily. My solar glasses shifted a little once and let a tiny crack of light in and it was instantly blinding and painful and had to look away immediately.

It's ok to look during the totality
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

because light is faster than your reaction time so as soon as the sun moves slightly past the moon it will burn your eyeballs
I could see you, but I couldn't hear you You were holding your hat in the breeze Turning away from me In this moment you were stolen...
