I think my main takeaway here is that Tick Tock Clock is a perfect level with no issues whatsoever.there's an entire debate on whether or not one speedrunning glitch could have feasibly been caused by cosmic rays of all things
Also that the way they coded this game is fucking hilarious.
there's an entire debate on whether or not one speedrunning glitch could have feasibly been caused by cosmic rays of all thingsI thought this was proven when someone recreated everything, then used a memory Editor to flip one bit on a frozen frame and recreated the glitch that way.

it's covered in the videoI just watched that video recently. Very interesting of course. But I was surprised that people apparently took the cosmic ray thing seriously. I remember back when pannen first posted the bounty for that, and I always thought the cosmic ray thing was basically just a joke. I never knew there were so many articles and videos running with that seriously.
tl;dw a bit flip can recreate the glitch, but it probably wasn't a cosmic ray that did it

I mean, the speedrunning meta for one of the old Dragon Quest games is to literally place the console on a hot plate so the game code bugs out >_>
