Pole Position in the arcade for sure. Early 80s.

On console I cant be positive what came first but I can tell you the one I played the most was R.C. Pro-Am on NES.

It was one in the arcades in the late 80s. I want to say Outrun, but I can't be sure. Then I played a lot of F1 Race on the GB via link cable on my break times at school, but I never actually owned that one, the people who had copies just passed their GBs around in a winner-stays-on style.

I think the first I actually owned was Super Monaco GP on the Mega Drive.

I'd have to assume Pole Position for the Windows 95 but it certainly could have been an arcade racer at the mall or something.

As far as consoles go, either Cruising USA or Gran Turismo.

I can't say I can remember for sure which game I played first, but it was likely Super RC Pro-Am. That, or Pole Position for the 2600.

man, probably CTR on the PlayStation or some F1 game on the PlayStation. cant remember the name of it, but my buddy and I would always go in opposite directions, crash into each other, and go absolutely flying. many good laughs from that

Either
  • Super Mario Kart on the SNES,
  • Some motorbike race game on the Sega Mega Drive
  • One of the first Need for Speed on PC.


Probably in that order.

EDIT: Wait, I also remember a Formula 1 game, but I don't even know if it was on the NES or Sega.

Okay, after google search and checking the games and dates, I can now say it for sure at a 50% rate:

Either ROAD RASH 2 or Super Monaco GP on the Mega Drive.

I got both games at the same time, and it should have been before we got the SNES.
