Many cookies are better than chocolate chip, if I may be so bold.
Not that I dislike cc, mind you. It's just that I'm a big fan of peanut butter, sugar, oatmeal raisin, coconut, walnut, lemon, butter and strawberry.
And if we're not counting variations of the CC, several of those are better, like CC and walnut or oatmeal CC.
And if we further assume equal levels of quality, there are other cookies that beat them. For example, you would never compare an Oreo to a homemade CC because they're not the same level of quality, but Oreos and EL Fudge both massacre chips ahoy.
There's a difference between canon and not-stupid.
