There are actually rules that dictate how the camera pans around.

One of the most interesting things about that really long McCarthy vote was that because those rules were suspended the camera guy was able to shoot whatever they wanted.

and normally it would take a vote just to put the motion forward, but McCarthy agreed to have his balls cut off for the speaker position so it only takes one rep to put the motion to vacate forward.

I guess Democrats refused to throw Johnson out because he hasn't lied to them yet. He's just been honest about being a far-right conservative and not wanting to pass their bills. McCarthy reneging on deals really was the reason he got thrown out.

It makes sense. Why should they save someone who would throw them under the bus. Plus Johnson is in a really bad spot even if he isn't removed. A 1 seat majority is really hard to govern with.
