They delayed that shit for him? Fuck off with that nonsense. The reason he got arrested was also kind of bullshit tbh.
The reason he got arrested was also kind of bullshit tbh.The road was blocked of because there was an accident where SOMEONE DIED.
According to ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington, who witnessed the incident, Scheffler was trying to drive around the crash scene on a median. A police officer instructed Scheffler to stop, but Scheffler continued to drive about 10 to 20 yards toward the entrance.
At one point, an officer attached himself to the side of Scheffler's car. Scheffler stopped his car as he turned into the entrance of Valhalla Golf Club.
After about 20 to 30 seconds, Scheffler rolled down his window to talk to the officer. The officer grabbed Scheffler's arm to pull him out of the vehicle, according to Darlington. The officer reached inside the vehicle to open the door, and once Scheffler was pulled out, he was pushed against the car and placed in handcuffs.
Supercop jumps on hood of car when Masters Champion mistakes police at a traffic jam for the ones running security right next to where he was.
If your interpretation of events were correct they wouldnt have given him a police escort back to the course.
Maybe he didn't know it was a deadly accident?
I can't believe this place has be defending the decisions of police officers 2 days in a row.
The road was blocked of because there was an accident where SOMEONE DIED.
He then tried to drive on the shoulder to circumvent the traffic.
An officer attempted to step in front of his car. Instead of stopping to explain who he was/why he was trying to go around, he kept driving WITH THE COP ON HIS CAR.
That seems like a good reason to be detained, no?

My guy you defend and argue for the police all the fuckin' time, you even give police unions undeserved benefit of the doubt, what are you talking about?
"All the time"
3 times.
Same thing.
1. He didn't know someone died. Since it sounds like the bus hit a pedestrian there may not have even been signs of a car wreck.
2. There's nothing wrong with driving over a median/shoulder to get around an obstruction on the road.
3. He did not keep driving once the officer jumped on his car.
4. YOU DO NOT JUMP ON CARS IN THE FIRST PLACE ESPECIALLY MOVING ONES. LIFE IS NOT AN ACTION MOVIE YOU WILL GET SERIOUSLY HURT.
"He was going into Valhalla to work out," Romines said. "He was getting ready for his tee time. They were directing traffic. He held his credential out and was going in like they'd been instructed to. Apparently, there had been a traffic accident, maybe even a fatality, down the road, and that had changed the traffic patterns, and he was unaware of that."
Romines, speaking outside the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections, said the officer who attempted to stop Scheffler wasn't part of the regular event traffic detail at Valhalla Golf Club, "so that's where the miscommunication arose."
"They are allowed to go through, that's why they have the credential and the wave-through," Romines said. "He was unaware there had been a wreck, and he proceeded like they'd been instructed to. He did exactly as he was instructed to enter the premises."
Romines said Scheffler would cooperate fully with police, and "we'll deal with it as it progresses."
"All the time"no you definitely do this all the time

Pretty sure I regularly see you playing the enlightened centrist for some of the worst causes but you do you my guy, we'll just pretend that doesn't happen. *wink*
no you definitely do this all the time
There's nothing wrong with driving over a median/shoulder to get around an obstruction on the road.I, uh, don't think this is the case when the obstruction is a police roadblock.
I, uh, don't think this is the case when the obstruction is a police roadblock.
I like to give the opposing viewpoint of the majority. Way too many people on here argue from a place of passion and not a place of logic.
Typical enlightened centrist drivel. Constantly playing the devil's advocate doesn't make you smart, it just makes you kind of obnoxious.
People get combative at the notion they might be wrong, so I can understand why people see it as obnoxious. It could also just be genuinely obnoxious
The report, a copy of which was obtained by ESPN, said the officer, identified as Det. Gillis, was directing traffic at Shelbyville Road, near Gate 1 of Valhalla Golf Club, the site of this week's PGA Championship. Traffic outside the golf course had been stopped after a man was struck and killed by a shuttle bus around 5 a.m. ET.
The report said Gillis was standing in the middle of the westbound lanes when Scheffler's SUV pulled into the lanes to avoid backed-up traffic. The report said Gillis was wearing a full police uniform and a "high-visibility yellow reflective rain jacket."
World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler was arrested Friday morning for second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and not following police directions.
Gillis stopped Scheffler's SUV and attempted to give instructions, according to the report.
"The subject refused to comply and accelerated forward, dragging Detective Gillis to the ground," the report said.
"This morning, I was proceeding as directed by police officers," Scheffler said in a statement. "It was a very chaotic situation, understandably so considering the tragic accident that had occurred earlier, and there was a big misunderstanding of what I thought I was being asked to do. I never intended to disregard any of the instructions. I'm hopeful to put this to the side and focus on golf today.
A good question this raises, imo: why are the guys with guns and jailing powers tasked with directing traffic? Its part of the job requirement of Highway Patrol who respond to the scene of an accident.

Sounds like he shouldn't be playing in the tournament and should be spending sometimes in jail. You would think so. Ignoring Highway Patrol and going around traffic that was being cause by an accident where there was a fatality. Youd think CE would be like Damn. Lock that dude up.
The reason he got arrested was also kind of bullshit tbh.
sounds like massive ego cops decided to arrest someone for no reason. arresting this dude on those charges will hopefully jam these ludacris assclowns up
Those cops should be fired but theyre cops so they wont
I like to be a contrarianWhen the contrarian viewpoint is to point out the flawed logic of I hate cops so Im going to side with the rich athlete that violated multiple traffic laws, then, yes. I like to be a contrarian.
Why is CE making excuses for Scotty? According to the ESPN reported on First Take Scotty apparently dragged the officer 20 yards before he stopped the car.Maybe he wasn't expecting Jackie Chan to grab onto his car
Why is CE making excuses for Scotty? According to the ESPN reported on First Take Scotty apparently dragged the officer 20 yards before he stopped the car.I simply do not believe that.
I simply do not believe that. The cops are making it sound like Scheffler was like "Fuck this shit" and floored it and weaved around traffic after the cop grabbed his car.
I simply do not believe that.
I literally just repeated what the guy that ACTUALLY SAW WHAT HAPPENED said when he was on ESPN this morning. It wasn't "my interpretation".You sure do lick a lot of boots to be signing off your posts with ACAB
But whatever. ACAB *shrug*
Why is CE making excuses for Scotty? According to the ESPN reported on First Take Scotty apparently dragged the officer 20 yards before he stopped the car.I think the cop is a dumbass for latching onto a car like a fucking leech.
The cops are making it sound like Scheffler was like "Fuck this shit" and floored it and weaved around traffic after the cop grabbed his car.
Just doesn't make sense that he'd completely lose his mind and then stop 20 yards later?
The accident seems to just have coincidentally happened right at the credentialed entrance to Valhalla. A cop that was responding to the accident and wasn't part of Valhalla security got a bug up his ass and got involved.
