It's just Twitter but with less nazis apparently.
It's Twitter without Musk, but don't forget that everybody hated Twitter BEFORE Musk bought it too.As someone who was once a very heavy Twitter user there is a difference between "I hate this but I can't stop using it" and "Fuck this shit, I'm out". That's the difference between pre-Musk Twitter and present Twitter. Bluesky hasn't even hit the first one yet. It's nice. It obviously won't last, but nothing ever does.

There's toxic behavior that you can't get rid of in any platform or community, but the truly abhorrent shit just got unavoidable after he bought it.
social media was a mistake
Better than X.
I like how it handles feeds.
The algorithm works a bit differently there, it seems to feed you stuff based on who you follow more than what you interact with, though interaction helps too. There was a moment where my timeline got flooded with art after I followed a few artists.oh weird, that hasn't happened to me yet
Bluesky is going to have difficulty replacing Twitter for breaking news and trendsSomeone suggested that either Bluesky admins or other users make accounts with RSS feeds so they can post any news that comes up. Would be better than just waiting for official accounts to pop up. Would have to be people with a lot of free time on their hands though.
It's the better alternative to X with the most userbase at the moment. I made an account there and I'm glad I stopped getting porn and nazi crap recommended to me. Like I thought there was something fucked about my search history or something until other people started mentioning the same thing. I think X's algorithm works very similiar to that of Youtube, they prioritize "engagement" over anything else so whatever can get more views and attention is going to show up on most people's stuff.tbh i haven't actually had grifters get thrown onto my feed wholesale that i can really remember
Well, the Xbox account has officially migrated to Bluesky. That's a start, for Bluesky gaining popularity for big companies, anyway.A bunch of soccer teams and The Guardian have moved too.
