I think you're underestimating the actual abilities of AI. If you train them on a specific task and focus only on that task, they do have the ability to make great strides, like they are in medical applications. It's the broad applications that companies are trying to push that aren't at all ready for mass consumption. Testers are one of those things that will likely never get the budget they need, like a lot of translators. It's just a shitty industry standard that'll never be fixed.
