Something about it gives me a vibe of Yes, this game is fake, but it isn't what they are actually working on. I could see a second trailer released next year where "Catly" is just a fake program or something within or related to the world of a different game.
I could be completely off the mark here, but this game seems so blatantly fake that I can't believe it's not part of a different project or something along those lines.
Superauthenti? Seriously? Nothing sets off my bull shit alarm like putting any variation of "truth" or "honesty" in your branding. Just reeks of "I'm not a cop" vibes.lol
The weird thing is that they've got enough money to throw some relatively big names behind it like Pokimane, Ninja, Felicia Day, and Ben Brode.I feel like there was another fairly blatant AI-generated scam game that was in the news recently and which also featured influencers as part of it. I'm sure Ninja was one of them. Can't remember what it was called but it was a GTA-style game.
I dig the way that the Bagpuss looking motherfucker briefly transitions into some sort of eldritch horror.

i failed to notice the AI generation
thats what i get for not paying more attention L on my part
the idea of a MMO where you play as a cat could have been great
tech bros ruin another great thing
Where are people getting the idea that it's an MMO where you're a cat?
The trailer didn't convey that at all.
I can see media in the near future being flooded with all kinds of shovelware low effort slop like this. And it's not going to be limited to just video games.that's already what Steam is like tbqh

The trailer didn't really show a game either. It looked like a commercial for cat beds or something
Hopefully everyone seeing this miserable failure will finally put to rest the AI allegations against PocketPair.lol
Following the reveal of Catly at The Game Awards last week and speculation about the game using generative AI, SuperAuthenti's PR representative has now issued an official response stating "AI was not used" in the trailer or game.
Here's exactly what IGN was told:
"A PR representative authorized to speak on behalf of developer SuperAuthenti said that generative AI was not used to produce the trailer, nor the game. Furthermore, the representative said the developer was "very surprised by such speculations," adding that "We do not think there are any existing AI tools that can produce a video like that. Industry experts have echoed this opinion."
The same outlet has been shown a version of the trailer from The Game Awards that includes some extra footage:
"The PR representative also showed IGN a version of the trailer from The Game Awards that showed in-progress shots interspersed alongside the final version, which did seem to confirm the lack of AI use in the actual trailer production."
SuperAuthenti's PR representative has also ruled out blockchain technology and NFTs:
"Our company/project has never issued any blockchain currency and any NFTs. Our company does not and has never owned any blockchain currency and NFTs."
