That's rough, I'm sorry.

I lost mine in November of '23, it was a really bad time.

Even if you had a rocky relationship, that's still a loss.

Sorry to hear about your dad, Jeff.

I hope you've got good people around you to help you through this.

Sometimes the complicated relationships are the hardest ones to process because there's so much more that could have been, but regardless of what's passed you've still lost someone who was a big part of your life.

It will take time to process it, but that's normal for everyone so you're not alone in that regard.

I might suggest reading the section in Zhuangzi about the death of his wife. Its helped me through the passing of both my friends. Its why I celebrate what great people they were.
