I thought Voting was anonymousWell now it should be clear to everyone at this point, that it is not .
It appears it might be related to content around Luigi.

I got banned for wishing death on Russian invaders in Ukraine. Pretty sure it was pro Russian schills because I got that bs message claiming I was suicidal too. Havent been back since.well now you can get banned for simply upvoting that sentiment

It appears it might be related to content around Luigi.meanwhile, according to a commenter here, there are upvoted posts on the Conservative subreddit calling for Democrats to be rounded up, that are not getting auto-flagged. convenient.

I thought Voting was anonymousWhy in the world would you think that it was anonymous on the back end? Did you think that Reddit operated on the honor system for people not just upvoting/downvoting as much as they wanted?
I have never seen the uber-rich get as spooked as they did when Luigi did what he did.
Could be many reasons. Maybe endorsing Luigi, maybe because it had posts about openly killing Elon Musk.
Idk why the internet keeps having to learn this lesson. Advocating violence or openly discussing killing public fillers is all fun and games until one of those nutjobs goes and does it, and then the site gets scrutinized, shut down, censored and everyone suffers. This has happened multiple times on the internet and on reddit. Reddit is not some dark web sector, it is a public message board with plenty of impressionable people on it.
Perhaps if reddit was known for taking such stances against the MAGA crowd advocating violence.
Several maga subs got shuttered after Jan 6I remember that there was a sub specifically made about Trump and that was shutdown.

I remember that there was a sub specifically made about Trump and that was shutdown.Yeah, r/The_Donald was shut down years ago.
Several maga subs got shuttered after Jan 6And then they just moved to the other MAGA subs and continued to do the exact same things.
And then they just moved to the other MAGA subs and continued to do the exact same things.Well, they are doing it because Luigi and Elon Musk also went to main subs.
Such an extreme stance. Only going against MAGA when it makes it to the news that there is an active terrorist group being open about their terrorism.
Well, they are doing it because Luigi and Elon Musk also went to main subs.Duh? They would have gotten rid of Ida Wells' posts as well.

Meanwhile, Twitch has streamers openly advocating for violence and they get at most a 1 or 2 day ban.
Reddit might be making a stance now because they might be cracking down on botting, because some main subs are/were incredibly astroturfed.
Duh? They would have gotten rid of Ida Wells' posts as well. They banned subs devoted to Trump and even some rightwing-sided gaming boards. What do you want Reddit do now?
And it has nothing to do with Elon. Right-wingers have to do something pretty heinous to get a slap on the wrist.
