Berserk is a classic that's still on going, sort of. The original author passed away a few years ago and his best friend has been writing the continuation as a form of coping.
It's a very dark and gore filled series, while at the same time being one of the best drawn mangas you'll ever read (the anime doesn't do it justice though, all CGI there.)
It's a major inspiration From Software's rpgs like Dark Souls.
Dark Gathering is pokemon but they capture ghosts instead.
Ika Musume and the other mangas writen by the series creator are good comedies.
It's about a Squid invading a beach house because humans have been destroying the ocean.
Only to be forced to work at said beach house to pay off the damages.
D-frag is also a fun comedy.
I Hope You're Happy Lemon, a guy body swaps every otherday with his ex-girlfriend that was four-timing him . It actually has progress, unlike Rent A Girlfriend.

Grand Blue is fucking hilarious
Peak comedy right here. The adaptation is getting a second season in summer.
If you haven't read it, Chainsawman is wild. It has a completely different feel from the anime.
