Hundred Billion I would have enough money to take me, my friends and family and leave America and never look back. Probably enough to even build a huge everything proof bunker to survive the nuclear wars and climate disasters America will fast track in the next few years.

A vote for Aragorn is a vote for Trump/MAGA.

As a man once said "What are Aragon's tax policies?" Pointing out that just because he's a good man, doesn't mean he'd be a good king dealing with all the everyday bullshit and political backstabbing.

We've seen it, a good man could save the people of America from utter doom, if on Election Day the price of eggs is $0.05 more expensive than before, Americans will vote for Sauron rather than Aragon.

Aragon would just be a short break from Trump, and I'd still be poor. Give me that money. Num num num.

Yep. Giving anyone absolute power as ruler would be a bad idea even if they would make an awesome king. You have no guarantee that they would remain an awesome king or that the next king wouldn't be horrible.

We have literally zero evidence of Aragorn's competency as an administrator, so this is a pretty easy choice.

Also, the US chose to have Trump as their leader, so they get to deal with the consequences of that decision. I'm not about to save them from it; if anything, I hope it goes even worse in the hopes that at least some of the country learns why they shouldn't vote shitheads into office.

IIRC, the issue was with magical groups like elves gone, Middle Earth is a lot less interesting. Tolkien didn't like the idea of writing about just humans in Middle Earth.
