Police say Joseph R. Checklick Jr, 21, of Culpeper intentionally accelerated into a crowd of protesters near James Madison Highway Saturday afternoon.

Officials say he struck at least one person with his vehicle.

Checklick Jr. was arrested and charged with reckless driving, and is being held without bond at the Culpeper County Jail.

Right wing extremists are feeling it today.

I feel like people have learned that the word stochastic is sometimes put in front of terrorism but this is just regular terrorism.

When you're told that leftists are the enemy, are lied to religiously about them, and told all sorts of innuendo about stopping them, with cops talking about killing rioters, it definitely causes an uptick in terrorist activities.

So while we shouldn't jump to conclusions and say for sure yet that this is stocastic terrorism, it definitely isn't beyond reason to be questioning and speculative.

You don't get held without bond for reckless driving I expect more charges. Clearly attempted murder and terrorism.

Probably the DA just needs to get witness statements and whatnot in order before adding the real charges.
There was a hit and run in San Francisco too.

The people saying stuff like that, yeah, stochastic terrorism.

A guy driving a car into a crowd has very little stochastic quality to it

Someone being incited to violence by political or media personalities demonizing the target without directly calling for violence against them is, by definition, stochastic terrorism.

99% of the time in cases like these they charge you with some bullshit immediately just so you can't file habeas corpus. He will definitely get more charges later.

Silly goose, youre only allowed to run over protesters in Florida.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction has to make sense.

Kind of the point I was making. So while we can't be to sure that's what this was, it definitely is worth considering, and it isn't ridiculous to ponder that notion.
What an utter piece of shit.
No, thats just regular-ass terrorism.

No, because when it's used correctly it's an important distinction.

We can in cases where terrorists aren't incited to action by the dangerous rhetoric from politicians and media personalities.

Stochastic terrorism is the call for terrorism while pretending that youre not doing that. This is the terrorism that follows those calls.

Yeah, it's just that the terrorist act is just a terrorist act. Trump's rhetoric would be the stochastic terrorism, ja?
