This seems unprecedented. If you thought their GPUs were expensive now, I can definitely see costs going up to cover their loss to the government.

Probably not, but I wanted to juxtapose Trump's war on immigration with tariff increases.
Trump and this administration is definitely at some large fault here. But also consider how these corporations have been behaving since the pandemic. They've seen that consumers have and will roll over and take it when push comes to shove. They'll find any MacGuffin to point their fingers at to absolve themselves of any culpability and the American people eat it up. No one is there to regulate them. So they will continue to extract more out of us until we're bone dry.
