I'd been a gamefaqs member for a few years before finding this board. I don't remember what year but it was around Big Samus' death.
So I reached into the glove box, another liquor store went down.

E3 2010. Came from the Pokemon boards, I remember reading the short description for this board and was never interested in it. The first thing I thought about this board was why there were Pokemon topics here thinking it was like off topic and why didn't they post it on the Pokemon board.

years ago lol, but I usually posted on potd when I was "active" on gamefaqs

it's kinda funny, cus back then CE was waaay to fast of a board so I never bothered posting. After I decided to come back to gamefaqs a couple years ago, CE is now slower than potd was back then.

and dont even get me started on current potd. total ghost town, I only recognize like one or two usernames whenever I go there to lurk.

I made this account in 2014 so it was some point after that. I can't remember exactly when I first discovered CE.

I think it was around 2017 or 2018 when I started posting here regularly.

I discovered CE right before the pandemic hit IIRC. Don't even remember what brought it to my attention. Before that I just occasionally posted on the PS4/Switch boards or specific game boards.

Not even joking. I was in school the day the planes hit, and I spent the day on the library computers with my buddy Chris. I knew about the game boards before then, but he showed me the social boards (namely here and LUE). We browsed and posted together that day, and the next day I made my own proper account and have been around ever since. Also, I swear to god my "Member Since" date has been slowly migrating from some kind of timezone or rounding error or something like an hour a year. Because I'm so certain it was the day after 9/11 when I created this account. And 23 years, at an hour a year, and it now says 9/13 instead of 9/12...it does track, right? I'm not completely crazy?

Though I technically had an even older one, that I created to ask a single question on a game board that never got answered and I promptly forgot the login for.

I knew about from the start of me coming here in the early 2000's but it was literally TOO fast of a board. Shit would be off the 1st page in seconds. I primarily always stuck to the main playstation system board until a couple years ago when the site became so slow that even main system boards often wouldn't get a reply for hours so I moved over here because the board at least had some activity.

I mean, I've known about the board for ages, just from people talking about it on other boards. I think the first time I came here was after the religion board was closed, and I was unsure what had happened to it, I ended up finding people talking about it here.

2006ish? Right around the time it grew bigger than RI.

I don't miss the board being at its peak speed. In that type of environment you basically have to post clickbait/ragebait or horny shit if you want any hope of your topic gaining traction.

I do miss having more Characters around, everyone kinda blurs together nowadays.
