Think about how stupid the average peson is, then try to remember that half of people are even stupider than that. Also, she wasn't white, or a man.
Think about how stupid the average peson is, then try to remember that half of people are even stupider than that. Now it should make at least a little sense...The layer in the fact that many of those people do not give even the slightest of shits about things that happen to other people, or things that aren't immediately in front of them. So even if doing something causes harm in the long term, even if the harm is done to them directly at that point, they won't notice.
Racism.
People weren't fooled, they actually truly supported Trump's agendas.Anyone that didn't vote Trump and also didn't vote for his only viable opponent were fooled. Non-voters are as complicit in getting him elected, even if they disagree with him.
They blindly consumed what the media sold them and a lot of outlets are really selective with what they report on.
Out of curiosity now when I'm on Google News and see a story that has no possible way to spin it in favor of the GOP... I click all reporting and look for Fox News and it is NEVER there.
This. If all you see is conservative media all you're gonna see is that Trump is going to save us from everything. Biden destroyed the economy and our international reputation and Trump is going to do... something that will fix all of that. And even non-conservative media was usually pretty soft on him because he is the greatest headline generator of our age and there's no one holding the media responsible for what they say.Plus even some leftwing media is owned by right wingers. A newspaper in California was going to endorse Kamala Harris but the owner shut that down
They weren't fooled. He's the most omnipresent person in the world due to media and memes. Everyone knows what he stands for and they voted for it accordingly. Don't make excuses for MAGA asshats. They aren't victims.Say it louder
Don't like your situation -> vote against the incumbentUsually the challenger isn't running on a campaign of making your life worse, yet for some reason America wanted that anyways.
Pretty standard line of thought unfortunately.
wrong premise
How were so many registered voters fooled into not voting. How were so many eligible voters fooled into keeping quiet about how hard it is to register to vote?
Because people are vengeful and petty as fuck to the point where they'll hurt themselves and the people they care about just to hurt who or what they think are the opposition. They know exactly what Trump is.
This. People generally do not like to be proven wrong, especially by people they see inferior such as liberals and minorities. Even when proven wrong, voters are willing to double down even if it personally hurts them because they enjoy that their power brings anger and disenfranchisement upon others. This also includes Jill Stein voters who only wanted to hurt the libs.
