That was my reaction too when I first went. That food is no joke, especially on 5-6 masks and a barely upgraded silk spool.
The blue item that makes silk regen faster is great for it, with it that last bit of silk recovers super fast so you don't need to wait for it to use the hook thingy again.
I looked up a video of the route since I hate doing these plataforming challenges blind, it still took 2+ hours.
How does Act 1 end? Does killing whichever boss end it immediately, or do you have to go to a location for a cutscene afterwards?
I didnt finish exploringBlasted Stepsand I heard there is an NPC thatdies if you dont talk to them in Act 1.
Thanks! You have to go to the next location.
I went exploring to try and fulfill some wishes. Ended up finding my way intoThis is what I did, I didn't even fightbilewater and the misty areas.I feel like I explored plenty of each area, but didn't find any map. Saw one of Shakra's rings but couldn't figure out how to get to her.
Ended up wandering straight into thePhantomboss fight. Took many tries, but I managed to win.
Oh god why did I decide to go toMount Fay.
Done with the secondHey, I just did that one myself.Savage Beastfly. What a pain, but it took less tries than the first one.
Made some serious progress. Found the whispering vaults, beat the cog dancers, wandered all over the citadel and found the first bell rest and shit.
Man. This game doesn't stop lol
I also looked up a few locations of some things I missed. Still need a mask shard and two spool fragments.I know one is underneath the elevator in the White Ward, but I dont know how to reach it.
I startedI'm in Act 2 and have it.act 3, should I have magnetic dice by now?
I'm in Act 2 and have it.
The problem is, I just don't think the game offers that much options to fight honestly. Dash not having i-frames alone means you're basically motivated to not fight close range against any bosses that can hit you in the middle of any animations, like jump (I know you can down dash) or just a standard attack.
Just beat Mount Fay. Time do the ol metroidvania backtrack canvasing. Thankfully I marked on my map obvious places to go now.
Got the Lv4 Needle. The guy tells me there's still another upgrade, which is exciting. Wonder where the I could find another oil. Running low on areas I can explore before tackling Bilewater. I haveThat's as powerful as your needle will get before
* Beastfly 2
* Broodmother
* "Find 8 Silver Bells please. Yeah they're a rare spawn, fuck off."
* Found the final Slab Key, so I've got places there to explore.
* The rest of Sinner's Road (and presumably that area after it)
* A quest in Putrefied Ducts, and there's probably a boss there too.
* The lava area where you fight a bunch of bugs then ascend quickly.
If possible I'd like to find the last(?) oil beforegetting cursed, so that I can max out my damage against the boss. Grandmother Silk is fairly easy...but not being able to heal would make things much more difficult.
Oh and i guess there's still fleas to find. It's been a while since I've seen any, but the caravan isn't ready to move yet so...I guess I've gotta look harder.
Could someone give a very spoiler free idea of how to get the various endings? I'd rather not lock myself out of something because I advanced the plot too much

AFAIK.
1: Beat Act 2 boss without having done all the sidequests.
2: Beat Act 2 boss while cursed.
3: Beat Act 2 boss after you've done all the sidequests (being cursed is a sidequest, so if you cure it before you beat the last boss WHILE cursed, you miss out on ending 2.
4: Beat act 3.
1 and 2 are interchangeable. And for ease of play you'll want to do 2 as late as you feel comfortable with based on how you did 1.
you just need to predict their moves. There is also hardly a middle of animations, you can dash in, hit and dash out. I use wanderer crest though.I know the shortcut. I broke the thing on the top. It still takes a while considering I was using the closest bench on the other map. Also it's hard to predict randomized moves. The problem with that boss was that even if I see her blade movement b4 the attack and know what's coming, they happen within less than a second. I haven't really developed the wanderer crest tbf, but Beast is faster and it was worse because it's much more risky to do a jump attack counter from a reasonable distance. Even then, you still get gimped by the no frame counter if you happen to be slightly above ground and can't jump.
there is a shortcut to second shell fly boss.
Just went to the last boss's area andclimbed above it to the Nameless Town. My friends hyped it up as the new Path of Pain so I was excited but I blew through it in less than 10 minutes, I'm so disappointed.
And yes Igot the badge and all the enemy entries there.
Did the Courier's meat quest. Honestly for all the tools I had, this shit cut it real close. I got hit once and that almost ended the run. Just wanted to limit test and barely made it
I hate the courier quests. It was hard enough to do without taking damage, but for some messed up reason they have it programmed so that if you harpoon into a step, your courier bag takes damage. It's ridiculous. If you take impact it counts as damage. Running into a wall, falling from a large height, etc
Ok I don't remember who was complaining about how temp HP works in Silksong but they're just flat out wrong. Plasmium Phial is so much better than the mediocre Lifeblood charms in Hollow Knight that its not even funny. There you had to give up charm notches that were better used for offensive charms, trading either 2 notches for 2 temp HP with Lifeblood Heart or 3 notches for 4 temp HP with Lifeblood Core. Here you get (my current) 5 temp HP for 1 tool slot. Sure, you lose a bit of ammo but you A) get more HP and B) can use Silk for spell damage instead of healing. So you're not really losing anything. Obviously, it is situational. Some bosses you can really add up tool damage. Others, like the Raging Conchfly I just dealt with, are not gonna leave you many openings for throwing tools at them. This is a great addition to Hornet's arsenal tbh
Is that moth near the upper choral chambers for real? I spent 25 minutes pixel perfectly pogo jumping between FOUR SETS of buzz saws and that's the only way to get to him?Use wanderer. Don't even try it with Hunter.
Goddamn
