OK, so just wanting opinions.

Should I continue exploring the Choral Chambers or should I backtrack and go right from The Underworks to whatever the firey pit of what looks to be death might be? I think there was a path to over there that I chose not to explore.

There is. There's a hidden bench on the far right side of the map connected to the very long hallway. You have to approach it from above.

I found it afterwards looking for fleas and was just screaming internally lol. At least it motivated me to make every fight all that mucch more important instead of just going in brainless and going unga bunga until enemies go away.

Wrapped up my just before end of game world tour collecting stuff. Save file says 100%, that's good enough for me lol. Missing a bunch of enemy entries, Materium notes, and Mementos but I think its time for one Final Dive tomorrow

Managed to beat the Beastfly last night (only boss that has given me trouble, so far), and not a huge of the beast crest it gave. Looking through the topic, apparently it's supposed to be really good, but it messes with the pogo too much for my liking.

I didnt complain about the enemies until the void infused enemies started coming. They aren't that difficultbut they took too damn long to kill

Nothing you're missing requires you to actually fight the 3 dreamers. With one exception, immediately upon returning from the abyss , you can have access to everything needed for 100% completion. The only thing you can't get is the Everbloom which counts for the 100% but is mandatory so you can't miss it anyway.

I had to take a break when I got to him. I hate everything about that fight. Apparently you can cheese him to death by just staying in the corner in the maggot water and using cogflys.

To be fair, Cogflys plus Poison Pollip wrecks most bosses. Add on Tacks vs any ground based enemy and your tools can hard carry you

Used that and Plasmid Phial for my second tool. +6 temp HP was enough to turn the tide. This is also one of the fighter where Injector can really help clean up, esp alongside Multibind. With that pair you can probably heal faster than he can kill you

Playing Hollow Knight again. Immediately apparent was that the field of view looked weird compared to Silksong.

It's much slower until you get dash and a fair bit easier in the early game.

I'm tempted to give Hollow Knight another run, just to get a bit of a pallet cleanse from Silksong.

I loved Silksong but it definitely does take a sledgehammer to any ego you'd have about being able to get through a game.

At the real final boss and ugh I'm gonna hate this. Phase 2 fucking SUCKS (and I'm still very much of the opinion giving every boss 2 masks damage for collision was an REALLY stupid/bad design choice)

Yep the 2 mask contact damage part was really stupid, especially since that boss teleports in front of you often - doubly so if you dash while the boss is 'idle'
If not for that, the boss fight would have been really easy

I really need to stop trying to sequence break (I'm sure there are later abilities to make it easier). I've been trying to reach certain areas early by luring over/pogo'ing off of flyers to reach higher platforms , and just lost about 400 rosaries because of it. Fighting mini-bosses early (like Skarrgard + spear bastard in Hunter's March) is fine, if a little tough. But I finally saw some real consequences for that exploration in Greymoore. I found a level, and hit it thinking it was a shortcut, only for it to destroy a bridge, preventing me from returning after I died . I see a hoop there that is probably for a later ability, but now I can't get my souls back :(

I somehow doubt I'll learn any lesson from this.

Took about 15 attempts, but finally beat the Last Judge . First time I actually felt the need to use tools, and I even had to burn a shard bundle because of how long it took.

Pilgrim's Rest: The running section past the musical needle door. I figured out how to get the first item, but there was no way I'd have thought to use both the speed anklets AND the Flea Juice to unlock another section for a second item... Mostly because I never use the juice and assumed it was just attack speed.

Finally managed to beat Karmelita . Took quite a long time. I really enjoyed the right at first, but their was 1 attack that seemed like it never missed when she used it. And any time I tried to heal she'd spam it twice, once to interrupt the heal, and again to punish for the attempt.

So that's all 3 hearts down, gonna explore some more before returning to the main objective. Currently going up above the cradle .

finally, I have found the Silksong!

I just unlocked act 3. wtf how was I supposed to know that finding all the fleas and talking to this specific npc was the requirement. he never mentioned the caravan even once!
