Anyone playing on switch 1? Trying to decide if its worth the plunge on that console specifically
Just unlocked the 6th weapon. People don't like this? Im absolutely in love with just 1 shitty run under my belt.People wanted Fists or Rail, and it's also severely nerfed compared to Early Access. It's not my favorite weapon personally, but I do think it's a solid enough choice. I think my first topside clear was with it actually.
Ok, got my first victory going down. The skull is such a good weapon.

Axe needs a little love to shine but holy shit when it does enjoy nuking most the screen(and a decent chunk of the offscreen)
I just had a winning underworld run with the hammer that gives +300% to attack but makes it only the final slow chop. Was cranking out 1200 per hit with a heroic Apollo lv 6 boon and bonus damage from being in the cast circle and under 2+ curses. Super fun.Wait until you get that one with the anvil that makes it hit twice but use MP.
Made it toCount the phase transitions.Typhon. No health bar x_x. Lost, no idea how close or far I was from winning.
first pull back of adds is 75% health left, zeus is 50%, second add round is 25%
I'm waiting for the physical switch 2 version.Same.
So excited.
How does it Improve on Hades 1?Better balance (though not perfect), better art imo, better aesthetics imo, and there's two realms to fight through instead of just one. Better replayability and most areas that are the same as Hades 1 are either exactly the same or slightly improved.
Is its dialogue system as elaborate?

Count the phase transitions.I'm consistently dying in phase 4.
just get hit less duhAlternatively, stack so much health and damage he dies before he can kill you. That's how I usually do it since I'm really bad at dodging the projectiles.
I'm consistently dying in phase 4.It's so much to dodge during that phase. Still haven't beaten it yet.

OK, how in the hell do I unlock the incant to upgrade arcana cards?
Run after run after run, unlocking card after card, upgrading my weapons, I go up, I go down, i talk to everybody constantly, nothing. The wiki just says "unlock arcana cards;" I feel like I'm missing something obvious, because I can't find a single other person asking this question.
You have to unlock all of the cards, and then Hecate will mention it, and it'll be an incantation. To be clear, when you say unlock, you probably mean have every card revealed and available for purchase. I still had several cards I needed to purchase when I gained the ability to upgrade cards.
I finally beat him. Might have been carried by the hex that revives an enemy to fight for you.Thats a pretty good one when it's highly upgraded. Damage absorption plus auto using your revenge boons is a fun combo. I often skip Hexes because I hunger for boons more and the path of stars is rather costly in opportunity costs, but it can be quite powerful if your build has room for it.
I find that a lot of Hexes are just DPS options that are often slower and less safe than your normal DPS options. Moonbeam, the giant eclipse meteor, Darkside, Curse. None of those tend to feel very valuable to me, not unless you're willing to take them all the way to the end of their trees where you start getting stuff like "Keep firing the moonbeam without you being there".
Water and Summon are my favorites. The leap has some utility for its generous i-frames. The rest I could usually live without.
This game is bloody awesome, I'm having a difficult time ranking it against the 1st game since that was also fantastic.I'd say he's harder than ||Hades|| only because he has a larger moveset. That said, once you see them in action, they are incredibly telegraphed except for when he throws his spinning scythe in that arc in front of him. There isn't much wind up for that an I still get hit often from it if I'm up close to him.
I think maybe the way the story has been unfolding is a little weaker, since Hades gradually opened up in order (I'm also having a harder time againstChronosthan I did againstHadesin the 1st game & haven't been able to beat the 2nd phase yet).
I'm not sure if it's easier or harder, since I had to rely on God Mode for the 1st game but I've not used it yet on Hades 2.
IMO hades 1 underworld is harder(fucking elysium especially. Fuck that hellhole) but the surface might be harder.I actually enjoyed elysium once I got used to rolling behind enemies and striking them. Never cared for that big pink butterfly orb mini boss though.
